You can purchase Slide Pack Add-Ons to build out your template to include the kinds of slides, charts, graphs, and other layouts you need for the way you present insights. Slide Pack Add-Ons contain additional pre-built layouts for quant, qual, diagrams, proposals, photo collages, and more,  for creating a wide variety of insights decks. They’re designed to give Insights pros tons of flexibility, clarity, and whitespace when presenting slides. Like building blocks, you can mix and match the elements included on these slides to create your own custom layouts.

Slide Pack Add-Ons are not a complete PowerPoint template with a color palette or every kind of slide you need in order to create presentations. Following Pareto, the CORE Templates cover 80% of what you’ll need day-to-day—Add-Ons allow you to customize the other 20% so your CORE Template has the all the kinds of slides you need for your business—and none you don’t.

We can only provide support for the use of Slide Pack Add-Ons for customers with a CORE PowerPoint template designed by and purchased from Insights Template Shop.

These layouts might work with your other PowerPoint templates, but due to the wide variation of PowerPoint templates out there, and the unfortunate fact that most of them are poorly designed, we’re unable to guarantee compatibility or provide support for those templates.

Each template comes with a linked PDF to download the templates to your computer. Follow the instructions found in the PDF. On CORE Templates, instructions also appear on Slide 2, titled “Download Instructions”, and Slide 3, titled “How to Use this PowerPoint Template.”.

You can purchase Color Palette Add-Ons to change the color palette of your CORE PowerPoint template. The Color Palette Add-On contains a color palette formatted for PowerPoint; it’s easy to install so it automatically appears as a one-click option in your Slide Master > Colors menu. And, contextual colors are critical for business users—we often need to signal what some piece of information means in context—positive/ negative, increase/decrease, go/no-go. These are included too—you can select and apply them anywhere from the Theme Colors slide with Home > Format Painter.

What’s more, chart templates are included for stacked bar charts, and vertical bar charts with up to 25 data points for when you need many more than the standard 6 data series, and still want to have colors that are easy to read, on-brand, and designed.

Once installed, it automatically appears as a one-click option in your Slide Master > Colors menu.  See the tutorial if you need help.

Installation involves copying a file into to your computer’s Library files. You may need to contact your IT department or administrator for access.

Most CORE templates are available in 5 styles: Bold, Warm Neutral, True Neutral, Cool Neutral, and Soft, and 10 primary color palettes: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, pink, violet, brown, grey, and black. There are fonts and other elements that correspond with the style of each CORE template. This makes it easier for you to only need to make small customizations, because you can start with the CORE template that most closely matches your brand.

You can edit anything you need or want to do, but you don’t have to edit much. These templates are strategically created in-house to reflect the needs of insights professionals, like you.
